My fellow Ekiti patriots I welcome you all once again to this re — match, grab a cup of fresh palm wine as we together savor these highlights.

We heard the sounds of wars and near death scenarios where one aspirant was supposedly shot at by what was reported as a straying security personnel, an event that saw a number of people use the hospital as temporary accommodation even though the Broom Tornadoes aspirant escaped the attack as reported in the news. There was yet another attack, this time the Osoko himself played victim and security operatives working for the Broom Tornadoes were alleged to have used tear gas to disperse supporters of the Umbrella Babes, even though the Osokomole claimed that the attack when further to brutalize him especially on his neck region. Although with the gruesome pains he felt he reappeared at the rally venue almost immediately barely able to walk nor move his neck which was supported by a neck brace

And for the second time in four years

‘Osoko wept’ (the first time being the recordings from ‘Ekitigate’)

while addressing the press with a statement that hung his security and insecurity on the Inspector General of Police.

What was quite suspicious about this was that it happened barely twenty-four hours after the Broom Tornadoes had its mega rally with all Board members led by Chief Coach Buhari, Chief Technical Adviser, Bola Tinubu, Board Chair Adams Oshiomole amongst others in attendance. The proximity of this strategic stroking to the election date and the pity generated by the weeping acclaimed messiah may and may not impact the elections.

This will be revealed by July 14, let’s wait patiently and see.

However, this action of the Police is highly condemnable.

Permit me to assume that the camp of Fayemi would have been so weakened; in a state of being that is in between laughter and confusion, shocked from the unexpected even though they were supposedly behind the attacks irrespective of the resulting bad imagery. Although we must also commend the political strides and style of Ayo Fayose whose politicking is clad in garments of chatty and crude ideals paraded in popular communication lines with no lexical limits, this he has succeeded in bringing even the seemingly sophisticated Fayemi to accept and attempt. The recent manner in which Fayemi has approached his campaign is a grievous deviation from his political correctness rostrum from which I think he has descended from.

Sounds of threats has rhythmically flow through the oral enclave of these two personages.

What leaves an observer puzzled is the fact that Fayose is not a candidate in this elections yet the seeming silence of Acting Captian Kolapo whose prominence has been continuously swallowed up by the gargantuan Fayose should also concern Ekiti voters. Although the Acting Captain who spoke at the Umbrella Babes rally spoke in Yoruba language ‘If I am Fayose’s boys whose business is it’ (translation by me), a subtle assent and for me flash light to whose he will yield the strings of the state at his probable eventually win. This also doesn’t mean the grass is greener on the other side for Ekiti.

There has not been one second of what looks like a modern campaign, at least something the public can lay hold on. However, we are still going into the elections

Voting for what? You may want to ask.

Acting Captain Kolapo Olusola has an answer to this “…by the grace of the Almighty God we shall sustain the good legacies of Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose in Ekiti, improve on it and change the face of Ekiti” PDP rally 5th July, 2018

Fayose declares in the manner of the Nigerian Pop song the Fayemi is “customer daadaa” to him and he will be beaten sixteen to zero again just like 2014. Fayemi on the other hand has been quoted to have said “We will kill an ant with a sledge hammer in this elections” a statement that may have led Fayose to address the public in a video published on the 4th of July with claims that the election umpire and her process have been compromised (by the Broom Tornadoes) mentioning names of alleged officers of the body and the brand of compromise they have been paid to do.

Whatever happens July 14 is the date and the destiny of Ekiti for another four years will be decided, the onus lies in the hands of the good people of Ekiti to write their history. What we haven’t seen in the run off to Ekiti elections is a campaign painted with vision, plans and actions, it has been about who is better and for what reasons even when such reasons are medieval and not enough to print fingers against any of the two main parties or otherwise. A logical Ekiti voter may just want to try any of the other candidates.

Oh! You are surprised,

There are at least 35 Candidates in this election.

Thank you once again, I am your commentator.

Watch out for Part 3 after the elections.
